New York Fashion Week: Men’s
In our coverage of men’s global fashion weeks, last but certainly not least comes the first-ever New York Fashion Week: Men’s. Described by The Cut as a “friendlier, more low-key, we’re-all-in-this-together sphere than the high-stress juggernaut that is women’s fashion,” the tight-knit menswear community of editors, buyers and bloggers came together for the first-ever initiative led by the CFDA.
Excitement filled the air as men’s fashion designers took center stage to show their collections separately from the constraints (and scheduling conflicts) of the women’s calendar. This also was the first time that the men’s shows would align with the buying calendar of the trade shows. Win-win? We think so.
Collections ran the gamut from conceptual to classic and commercial, with plenty in-between and something for any sartorial taste. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorites looks.
