The Force Awakens is opening Friday at Disney, so it’s safe to say the world’s in official Star Wars mania.
With an endless series of previews, red carpets, product tie-ins, and conspiracy theories about the plot, it’s easy for things to get lost in your daily news stream—which is why we were shocked we didn’t hear more about Disney unveiling a slew of upgraded Star Wars rides, restaurants, shows and experiences at both Disneyland and Disney World this December, calling it Season of the Force.
Highlights include an all-new Space Mountain (cleverly dubbed as Hyperspace Mountain) poised as a Rebel X-wing battle, along with a walk-in version of Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer. There are revamped cafe areas with Star Wars eats, a new Jedi Training course to take and never-before-released video games you can only play inside the parks. Wondering if it’s too late to re-book your plans for holiday travel? It’s not.
